Hi there! I’m Marcus. That’s me on the right next to my younger brother, Marius. I also have an older sister, Kim (we were actually at her son’s wedding that day in Boone, NC). I live in Fayetteville, Georgia (just south of Atlanta) and welcome to my website!

I work for the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller, although I haven’t actively worked airplanes in 20 years. I worked in Atlanta, GA and Charleston, SC. My current job is the airshow coordinator for the East coast of the United States. I handle Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) for hazards and disasters. And lastly, I work with Commercial Spaceflight operators in developing Letters of Agreement when they have launches and reentries. I’ve worked with numerous Spaceports including the “Eastern Range” at Cape Canaveral which is managed by the United States Space Force 45th Wing.

On February 11, 2026 I had an ischemic pontine stroke. I had stupidly been ignoring my doctors and living with uncontrolled Type 2 diabetes and hypertension for many years . I’ve started a blog here documenting the day of the stroke and my recovery. My hope is that others will read it and and learn from my past idiocy. I’m now listening very closely to my doctors, diabetes educators, and physical therapists to try and get back as close to baseline as possible. I’ve recently started using an Omnipod 5 and a Dexcom G7 CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) and it has been life changing in a very short amount of time. I’ll be devoting some of this website to writing about it.

Part of this site also includes some stories from my now deceased Uncle Paul. He was in the UK Royal Navy and then a merchant ship Captain and lived in New Zealand. He sent me some stories from his life which I have on here as well. They are pretty entertaining and not too long of a read.

I hope you enjoy your time here and I’d love it if you would drop me a line at my Contact Me page above.
